Are there any risks or side effects of treatments?

As with all treatments and procedures, there are risks involved with aesthetic treatments. Each treatment will be discussed at length during the consultation process and you will have opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

As an overall insight to risks, there is a possibility of experiencing bruising, swelling, tenderness following injectable procedures and skin changes following Peels and some skin treatments. There are also very small risks of infection, allergic reaction and complications. You will be advised how to avoid these risks and it is important you follow aftercare instructions and advice.

When can I have more treatment?

This all depends on what it is that you want more of! Botulinum toxin treatments are no more frequent than every 12 weeks. Dermal Fillers are dependent upon the area being treated and how much volume being is used, treatment with Dermal Filler can last anything from 6-18 months, longevity of results is discussed at consultation.

Skin treatment & skin rejuvenation courses are recommended regularly for enhanced results. You will be advised of how many treatments are recommended and treatment course length at consultation.

Do injectable treatments hurt?

Everyone has a different pain threshold and some patients can find some treatments more comfortable than others. Topical anaesthetic “numbing cream” can be used prior to most injectable treatments and Dermal fillers used contain lidocaine which helps towards keeping you as comfortable as possible. Please let us know of any particular concerns you have at consultation so we can help to ease any worries and plan your treatments meticulously.
